Teaming Up For Mission

Well the last four days have certainly been exciting for us. There has been a real buzz around the station. As you are probably well aware we have been having our pledge drive.

As always it has been a real blessing – because it brings us into a very direct contact with listeners – we have had lots of conversations and email communications with listeners from all over the country – it is just so encouraging to make that kind of connection.

We have a vision to bring Spirit Radio to the four corners of Ireland but to do it we need a large team to make it happen.. so over the last four days we have been asking our listeners to join our growing supporters club and help make it happen. And well it has just been so encouraging to have people ring in — during what is clearly a really tough time for everyone — we have had people ring in and sign up — come on board — join the support network — to help make it happen.

There was a time in my life when I asked the deeper questions – Where am I really going? – What am I living for? – What gives life meaning?  That search led me to a profound rediscovery of the faith of my youth. That search led me to a person, Jesus Christ – He is the source of my hope – He is the truth that sets free – He is way to God in heaven..

So many of you our listeners have made the same discovery – so many of you have chosen to become followers of Jesus. And really deep down it is Christ that unites us – in him we have a common mission. Ultimately it is because of the profound freedom that we can find in his name that we are teaming up to bring Christian radio to the four corners of Ireland. We have a job to do and like Paul we have a deep desire to finish the race, to complete the task which the Lord has given us to do… the task of declaring the good news of the Grace of God!!

This morning we are so filled with gratitude for so many that have over the last few days have joined the team to help bring Good News to the Nation.
