Spirit Radio Program

Upbeat and uplifting, entertaining and inspirational, Spirit Radio plays the best contemporary Christian music – plus a selection of positive mainstream hits. Spirit’s news and talk has Christian voices speaking on the issues of the day. The programming is family friendly and geared to appeal to a broad range of the population – those who have a an active Christian faith and those who are searching for something more.

On FM in Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick, Waterford, Naas, Newbridge, Kilkenny, Carlow, Athlone, Bray, Greystones, Ennis, Sligo, Wexford and Dundalk. Across Ireland and Northern Ireland on 549 Medium Wave
Spirit launched originally in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway and Waterford. We are now broadcasting in Bray,Greystones, Naas, Newbridge, Kildare, Athlone, Kilkenny, Carlow, Ennis, Sligo and Dundalk. Spirit Radio plans to further extend its reach across the country in the months ahead.

Spirit is also broadcasting on 549 Medium Wave and online. The station is reaching listeners in many parts of rural Ireland, Northern Ireland and on the West coast of Scotland, England, Wales and the United States.

Growing, Active Listenership

An independent survey by Amárach Research in January 2016 indicates that our weekly listenership has now grown to 540,000.

Spirit Radio is bringing Christians together from a wide range of backgrounds. At the heart of the Christian Gospel is the message that God has sent his son Jesus Christ to redeem us and bring us into a relationship with himself – this is the Good News that Spirit Radio seeks to communicate to people across Ireland.

We are motivated by a desire to serve the community. Our board of directors are unpaid and represent a broad spectrum of the Christian community. Spirit Radio is a Company Limited by Guarantee Without A Share. (There are no shareholders) (Company Number 428029). Spirit Radio is a Not For Profit organisation and has charitable status (CHY 17448).
