St Vincent De Paul Christmas Appeal increased calls – Nessan Vaughan

Nessan Vaughan (Chair of the Social Justice Committee at the Society of St Vincent de Paul) speaks to Wendy about how they have received almost 230,000 phone calls for support so far this year, the same number the charity received in the whole of 2022. This means they are anticipating a significant increase in need in the run-up to Christmas, which is one of the busiest times for the charity.

This year’s Christmas campaign is called ‘The Wonder of Christmas’ and Nessan speaks about what services Saint Vincent De Paul offer to families across the country during the Winter months and in the lead-up to Christmas.
