Irelands fertility rate has fallen to its lowest level on record

Ireland’s fertility rate has fallen to its lowest level on record, dropping well below the replacement rate needed to sustain the population.  

Fewer babies are being born, parents are older, and the natural increase in the population has fallen sharply — raising questions about health, access to fertility care, and how realistic it is for people to start families today.
