Before Christmas, we spoke to Martina Kenny, co-founder of My Lovely Horse Rescue, about the importance of “adopt, don’t shop”. Sadly, that message has never been more urgent.
Over the holiday season, Martina and her team have been inundated with rescue cases — abandoned, neglected and surrendered animals arriving at an alarming rate. And now, in January, they are bracing for what they fear could be an even greater influx.
Martina Kenny joins us again today to explain what’s happening on the ground, why this crisis keeps repeating itself, and why My Lovely Horse Rescue urgently needs public support.
