No More Bird Feeders in your Garden

Today, Aisling Kinsella from BirdWatch Ireland joins us to explain why BirdWatch Ireland is now advising people to stop using bird feeders in gardens during the summer months.  

While feeding birds brings great joy to many homes, new research shows that feeders can increase the spread of diseases like trichomonosis, which is causing serious declines in species like Greenfinch, Chaffinch, and Goldfinch.  

The message is not to stop caring for birds—but to support them in healthier, more natural ways.
