Sean Blake – Eating disorders in Ireland on the Increase with men
Eating disorders are often misunderstood as an illness that primarily affects women — but in Ireland, men make up around a quarter of those living with conditions like anorexia and bulimia.
Despite this, men are far less likely to seek help, often due to stigma, shame, and a lack of awareness — meaning many only come forward when they’re seriously unwell.
Sean Blake, in Recovery from anorexia nervousa, shares his experience and helps challenge the myths surrounding eating disorders in men.
