Radio was always a huge part of my life. My dad worked on pirate radio back in the 80s, and the magic of broadcasting grabbed me from an early age. I did my first ever dj gig aged 12 at our local community party for the Millenium new years eve! My proper radio journey began aged 16 when I began working at FM104 during school holidays and weekends. I studied radio at Ballyfermot College of Further Education, and through the years have worked at many radio stations, before finally getting the chance to join the Spirit Radio Team.
Fun Facts: A couple of fun facts about me. Firstly I’m a huge nerd about coffee. I love to discover new beans, roasting techniques and brews. I host a coffee tasting vlog series on my social media accounts, where I try different beans from across the world. I also am a massive fan of Sherlock Holmes. The detective is a fascinating character to me and I love to get lost in his world when I get a chance to read.
Favourite Saying: My favourite saying is a bit of a mouthful, but it’s in Latin. “Destitutus ventis, remos adhibe” which is a proverb meaning”If the wind will not serve, take to the oars” or sometimes you have to get stuck in to make a change and not just wait for things to happen.
Favourite Spirit Radio Song: There are so many amazing and inspiring songs we play at Spirit Radio, but if I had to choose one, Toby Mac’s A Little Church, because, as well as being really catchy and upbeat, I truly believe that nobody’s too lost to get found.
